Code of Conduct/Community Standards for Alumni Site

Please note that use of the Textron Alumni Portal and its social media and collaboration features is completely voluntary and use of such tools are solely at the discretion of the user 
When you engage, please follow these guiding principles:

• Always pause and think before posting; post meaningful, respectful comments.
• Respect proprietary information, content, and confidentiality.
• Stick to your area of expertise.
• If disagreeing with others’ opinions, keep it appropriate and polite.

Users must take responsibility for all posted content and be responsible for adhering to all applicable local and national laws.
Textron reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user’s account who exhibits objectional conduct or posts sensitive content that:

• Incites, advocates or expresses pornography, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity, hatred, bigotry, racism, or gratuitous violence.
• Provides or creates links to external sites that violate this code of conduct;
• Consists of intimidating, threatening or hostile behavior;
• Contains demeaning or offensive slurs, profanity and foul language;
• Spreads malicious rumors or comments;
• Threatens, stalks, defames, defrauds, degrades, victimizes or intimidates an individual or group of individuals for any reason; including on the basis of age, gender identity or gender expression, mental or physical disability, ancestry, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, color, race, religion, marital status, military or veteran status, political affiliation, or any other category protected by federal, state and/or local law;
• Contains or could be considered 'junk mail', 'spam', 'chain letters', 'pyramid schemes', 'affiliate marketing', or unsolicited commercial advertisement
